Paper and Paint

My work can be described by the transformation of historical objects, materials, and narratives into unique works of collage and mixed media. Each piece stands alone, yet all share a visual and conceptual lineage—rooted in the belief that objects carry memory, and memory can be made visible.

I treat every element—whether a fragment of fabric, a handwritten note, or a weathered photograph—not as raw material but as a survivor of time. Through layering, juxtaposition, and recontextualization, these remnants are woven into new compositions that honor their origins while creating entirely new stories.

No two works are identical. My style embraces imperfection, patina, and the evidence of age, seeing them not as flaws but as authentic signatures of life.

My style is more than an aesthetic, it is a philosophy:

Preserve the past without freezing it.

Let materials speak their own histories.

Layer time until the boundaries between then and now dissolve.

In the gallery, my work invites slow looking. It asks the viewer to imagine the hands that once held these papers, the rooms they lived in, and the decades they traversed. Each composition becomes both an artifact and a new creation—a dialogue across time.
